I'm not sure why people are getting touchy about Doogie suggesting that people from a certain ethnicity may have common physical features. It's not racism, he's not making judgment on their character or any of the old nasty stereotypes about Jews. It's like saying that Scots are more likely to be ginger than many other nationalities, it's a long standing historical trait.

And before anyone gets touchy about gingers or Scots, I'm Scottish (non-ginger) and saw a lot more gingers growing up than I have since I left, so I think that stereotype probably has some credibility.

There are many Jews that you can spot a mile off, the same as there are many Germans who look very obviously German. You can often spot the Frenchies too.

You can often have a good guess at the Irish too.
