Yeah, sounds reasonable to me. I didn't actually rtfa (if there was one).Originally posted by vetran View Postsorry happily married I can't take your ex off your hands.
point I was making was they refused to hire black people because their clients don't want them that is illegal.
the answer is there is nothing they can do to fix it because their clients don't want to play the game.

ah so subtle discrimination is OK.Originally posted by EternalOptimist View PostThere is no misbehaving or overt discrimination in the stuff I mentioned earlier.
What happens is that the child lives at home, the parents are responsible and carers are provided for 8, 10 or 24 hours a day.
The parents have the usual right to refuse to have a person in their house. They dont have to give a reason.

There is no misbehaving or overt discrimination in the stuff I mentioned earlier.Originally posted by vetran View Postthe first is a reasonable exception and is a case by case basis. Pretty rare now though I would bet.
the second if the carer can't behave then they shouldn't be employed, if the customer can't behave then it needs managing.

The Koran is full of stories mentioned in the Bible - both old and new testament. What you're probably thinking of is the story of Ishmael and Isaac. The OT story has it that Isaac inherited from Abraham; the Koran that Ishmael inherited. This certainly would have appealed to the Arabs, since, traditionally, they are descended from Ishmael (the Jews from Isaac). The fact that the OT account is hundreds of years older than the Koran is handled by Islam by saying that the Bible was corrupted by the Jews and Christians.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI'd always thought there was a split in the OT which is where Islam came from (legitimate vs illegitimate children or something like that). I wonder what, if any, religion that spawned since clearly it wasn't Islam!

the missus will not ever recruit a black carer.
Some of the muslim families refuse to let them in the house
