Funny you should say that.
Have just bought, on a mate's recommendation, Travel Johns, for my Inca Trail / camping trip.
Dunno whether I'll use them - probably not if I'm sharing a tent with a stranger as looks likely at the moment!

I think they're all branches from the same root. Most of the major religions throughout history have the same events in their back stories - cataclysmic floods & arks, etc. Even seemingly very different religions like Hinduism with all of the crazy 3 headed tigers and what not.Originally posted by darmstadt View Post
Its actually quite interesting how many of the same traits both religions shareComment

Only away for just over a week - a couple of days in Cusco, walk the trail (4 days) then another day, then home.Comment

Not at all surprising though. Christianity started as a Jewish sect. Islam appeared when Christianity had been running for a few hundred years. Mo spent time with Jews and Christians, and Muslims consider Islam to be the (final) successor of Christianity and Judaism (who, according to Mo, failed to implement God's plan).Originally posted by darmstadt View PostIts actually quite interesting how many of the same traits both religions shareDown with racism. You're not very bright. Saying "it's a stereotype that Jews are rich" is not the same as saying I believe that stereotype.Originally posted by Scruff View PostAre you TykeMerc's Sockie?

I'd always thought there was a split in the OT which is where Islam came from (legitimate vs illegitimate children or something like that). I wonder what, if any, religion that spawned since clearly it wasn't Islam!Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostNot at all surprising though. Christianity started as a Jewish sect. I am outta here, since I haven't got the time, patience or energy to deal with your backtracking bigotry. Merely pointing out the stereotypes reveals your prejudices.I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment
