Is this the one where you pretend you're dead and cash in your life insurance?“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
But Scotland will be led by Alex Salmon so you can be sure he will be on the ball...Originally posted by SueEllen View PostRemember the ERM?
You can peg but at some point it may become unsustainable and if your politicians don't realise in time you have a recession on your hands.Comment

Bermuda as in the tax haven with a population of 65,000?Originally posted by Old Greg View PostPegging is the answer. The Bermudian dollar manages to peg to the USD. Not a perfect solution but very workable. Bermudian dollar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I know, I don't know why nationalists think a CU would be in England's favour. All the main Scottish financials will move to London if we don't get one. A lot of my old clients as well.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostMost of the business would already have gone to England. It would not be good for Scotland.

Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.
It'd be political suicide for any party to countenance a CU after a 'Yes' vote. So it won't happen.Originally posted by minestrone View PostI know, I don't know why nationalists think a CU would be in England's favour. Scarily Swinney says Scotland would just renege on its share of the debt if there is no CU - which would push up a fledgeling Scotland's borrowing price.
Bonkers.
The SNP are rushing for the line, if they win it'll be a Pyrrhic victory as they are unable to address any of the real f*****g scary issues.
As Einstein said - Nationalism is an infantile disease....Comment
