An indy Scotland not afford a public sector at it's current size. We'd be bankrupt overnight.

But I don't think Scotland will be in a hurry to get back in. Scotland has more to give than loose / seed control to the EU (fishing rights in the north sea etc).
I agree that Scotland will be admitted promptly into the EU. But it doesn't not follow that this admission will be on the terms demanded by Salmond.

Beyond that I wish to see an indy Scotland slash the public sector by half at least. It's not business being the size that it is. Waste of money.
It does not, the figures that are being touted around for this are old and were revised down anyway. We are spending more than we contribute.

So with higher interest rates people will be move their cash to the bank of Salmond to get better returns?

As long as they don't expect to get it back

How many public sector workers will lose their jobs?

Maybe all these unemployed public sector employees could be utilised sprinkling magic pixie dust around to grow the economy?
I mean you can only save so much money trading your Armed Forces in against white flags and employing Border Guards to prevent anyone leaving.....
