OG, come on, it's been answered many times already.

Scotland will use the £, with or without a currency union.

    That's it.

Scotland will not become independent on the 19th (in the event of a Yes vote)

These things will be negotiated in the transition period, post referendum. Including the CU/not CU issue and EU membership.

Scotland gets its share of the debts regardless of currency union so your point is irrelevant.

Sterling is not fine today because of the uncertainty caused by a poll suggesting independence is possible. Currency markets don't like uncertainty. It does not follow that sterling suffers in the absence of a currency union.
So, the markets are only nervous about uncertainty.

Balance of payments and reduction of GDP in the sterling zone doesn't come into it ??

Out with Governments you've never elected? Well my boy you are in for a shock. I didn't think you wanted to live in a one-party-state? You might well find that you are living under the rule of a party that you didn't elect. That's democracy for you.
Ideally SNP will be voted out in a new independent Scotland.

The referendum is an opportunity for people in Scotland to take sovereignty, not a vote for the SNP. To suggest otherwise is bile.

nothing. But is an attempt to answer the question 'does currency not get covered in Scottish media'. No, not really. There's more important things in peoples lives than money.

So, the SNP is not a legitimate political party ?

In the words of Paddy Minestrone, you are a zoomer.

As most of this thread deals with doom and gloom, how about this for a scenario?

2014 - Scotland votes for independence
2016 - Under pressure from coalition partners UKIP, Conservatives hold EU referendum
                  2016 - rUK leaves EU
2020 - Last foreign bank relocates from London to Frankfurt
2022 - King William V moves family seat to Holyrood as fears for safety mount (and to enjoy the higher standard of football at Tynecastle)
2025 - Mail runs headline "Best places to buy in London under £5,000,000,000 (or 25,000 euros)"
2030 - Live aid reformed for charity gig to benefit starving residents of Islington

Scottish stocks are getting hammered more than the pound.

                      I think that says everything.
