How is the 'Testing' field market now?

I have been receiving many fishing calls from agents but have not got any interviews. I wonder if the jobs are fake as some of them have been advertised for months.

I am getting worried to find a job!

This isn't a great time of year for contracts generally, you might see something appear come March.

I have loads of calls for test jobs in the last 10 days with 2 interviews. One I thought was "nailed on" but......
Not that bothered as I've been offered another 3 months in my current gig.

Quite a few jobs out there although rates not great. Not many senior roles and still plenty of candidates. Have been told twice in the last week that I am too senior for a role and that whilst what I am asking rate-wise matches my experience, the roles i'm applying for are lower and paying less accordingly.

Getting lots of calls about permie roles (no thanks) and jobs darn sarf (no thanks). Applied for a role advertised on jobswerve this morning. Agent phones me back about the same role. Only the location has changed and the rate is half that advertised. WTF?

So I said the role is advertised here and the rate is £xxx. Im looking at your advert now. Oh, this is a different role he says. Yeah, ok. Not!

Lots of NHS \ Government testing roles on the market for £100 to £150pd. They can get fooked too!

I've been receiving a fair few emails from agents about positions but I'm happy in this gig at the moment so haven't followed them up. Do you have a specific skill set i.e HP QC, MS Visual Studio etc?

Testing is a bit of a wishy washy term, ClientCo here are always looking for test monkey's, especially around automation. Drop me a PM and we can talk a bit more if you wish, but if you are just after a button pressing tester the Bob's have that covered

In jan people say it is quiet wait till march

In march people say will april for new budget

In june people say wait for august as end of school term

In august people say wait till sept as everyone on holiday

You get my drift...??

How is now any worse then march tell me???
