    Contract for bank, via Wipro

Starting a new thread as I did a forum search and everything I found wasn't very recent.

I've been contacted by an agency for a contract role. It is inside IR35, the rate is ok (£575 a day), the end client is a bank and I'd be working via Wipro.

I've heard mixed reviews about Wipro so I'd like to know if any is currently in a similar arrangement to the one I'm describing or has a recent experience.

Judging by the few old posts on here, Wipro was a bit of a nightmare when it came to approving timesheets but again, posts are few and dated...

standard Indian outsourcer. They cannot find anyone with the relevant skills to get a visa for so they get in a specialist. You will be expected to train their staff.
Just play it professional, stick to your scope of work, provide handover but not training, and leave when project finished.

All the Indian outsourcers sail close to the wind as far as contract law, immigration visa rules. tax law, honesty, respect for people & clients. Internally they are caste on caste and anti white Westerner racists.

You will never be able to trust them. Getting paid honestly and on time will be a constant struggle.

              Avoid.

If you really must do it insist on weekly billing, and paid the week after, terms. Insist on a short notice period from your side.

Who is the agency? Check the thread on this forum about Indian agencies operating in the UK. if it's one of them, run away.

The agency is Anson Mccade. Never heard of them before.
