Why would she waste her and your time by meeting up if she didn't at least have something in mind? It sounds to me like you've at least got half a foot in the door there.

My cv was shortlisted by her manager who was not present in the interview. Should I approach her manager who selected my cv?

Jesus wept, no. Don't go above peoples heads - the manager has passed your CV onto her and entrusted her to make decisions.

Sounds like you've been recommended for a role by someone at the client, but the original job spec had something on it which you don't have. After interviewing you, the person has thought about it and is now considering that maybe you are a good fit.

Your job now is to remain professional and have a good chat.

What harm is there in having a chat and catching up? If nothing else it's a good networking opportunity.

Have to say you need to get a bit smarter with all this though. A contractors job is finding working, the bit you do at the client afterwords is easy. If you struggle navigating the market, selling yourself and networking you are going to miss a lot of opportunities.

Sounds like you've still got a very permie mindset to the whole thing.

Thanks for your suggessions .it is just that she is not in the office and I have only one more day in the company.Shall I call her? Not sure if such direct approach would be appreciated.
