So Davis tells Parliament Wednesday we will pay for access and tells the CBI that "No one wants to see labour shortages in key sectors - that won't be in anybody's interest." the day after it's announced 284,000 people arrived from the e.u. the year up to June.

Either do Brexit properly or not at all, unless everyone is happy 'we won our freedom back'.

No you are the one who is always telling people its their fault they are stupid.
They should make their own way as you have and you are considerably richer than yowww.
That you have ignored your principles for profit.
Your persona on here makes Scrooge before the visits look generous.

Obviously you must be completely different in real life then.

I'm quite happy to appear wrong if I am and I am truly interested in helping other people.

So usual unsubstantiated BullTulipe from you.

Yes now he's claiming that the government will ensure "stopping freedom of movement" won't harm the economy.

So presumably this means that the 250,000 retirees (above and beyond those being replaced by UK citizens entering the workforce ) per year will be replaced......ah

        hang on!

        I'm alright Jack

Do you lot still not get the free movement of people bit or are you deliberately acting dumb?

Very few have said no immigration at all. The idea is that we choose who comes in, as we do with rest of the world. That means if we need fruit pickers we can let them in but still not accept SAS coders.

Interestingly, we are warned that there is no one to pick fruit and veg on the same day we get told of near record immigration. This is exactly what having control would help resolve.

Except now the fruit picker or sas coder says no thanks I get a better deal in France as I can build a new life for me and my kids and I don't have to get a permit or risk getting kicked out after a year.

Where do you think all those people coming over from the e.u. go: to work or sign on?

No need for an apology. It is a forum fact that you have always been glacially slow on the uptake.

You didn't vote for something that you actually crave. Don't lose that Dunce hat!!

The multinationals will leave if they can't find the talent.
If the multinationals leave, no one will want to come in.
And thus a country is hollowed out.
In the 21st century, only 20% of the workforce will be able to do 60% of the new jobs created, according to the US govt.
The cognitive elite takes all and there are better places to live than the UK.
That's the fundamental flaw with Brexit and why it cannot work.
                Hard Brexit now!

And yet this series of events has NEVER happened in the entire history of the planet.

What a good thing we are governed by the UK govt. then.

And yet still the EU migrant hordes continue to flood towards Blighty. Clearly they, whose very future existence depends upon making the right migratory choices, are not as economically enlightened as YOU are.

You do have an entirely negative view of the world.

Some multi-nationals may leave. Some may stay, some more may arrive. It is far too early to tell how the existing crop of companies will behave. For that we actually have to wait until meaningful negotiations begin.

But more to the point .... so what if the current crop leave? There is not a finite pool of companies. You just start another one.

People have to be economic. The majority of people just get on and get going. If faced with mass-unemployment, someone, somewhere out there with an entrepreneurial vision will start a new company and take advantage of the unemployed, skilled labour.

If as a result of Brexit companies move out of the UK then new investment is required.

                      However.....

Investment in UK Fintechs drops after Brexit

While total global investment soared, UK VC investment for fintech firms decreased by 26% to Q3 2016 to $532 million and is approximately half of the total 2015 investment of $1.1 billion.
So whilst global investment in Fintech is growing international investors are avoiding the UK.

                      .......DOOOM ...
