The reason for having one just for S58 is not so much achieving the highest number of votes but so we have got our grievance on the public record. This could come in useful when contacting MPs etc.Comment

One in the eye for Hector it would seem, and did make meconsidering Lloyds recent ownership issues.

Petition
I have been persuaded that it may not be a good idea.
No 10 could post a comment on it to spin it against us, ie. we deserve what we get. Someone could even start an opposing petition for s58 to stand which might get more popular support.
Once you start the petition you've got no control over it, so it is risky.Comment

We will win by persuading those with influence - MPs - and in the law courts. The 'court of public opinion', whatever that might be, will I'm afraid be quite unsympathetic.Comment
