Imagine the scene if a few hundred people turned up to the High Court all wearing this!

I will be happy to come along to the JR if it will help the case.

Has anybody checked with Montp to ensure our presence will not hurt the case?

Is their anything that can be learnt from the failed IR35 appeals? Did that go to a JR? I understand that IR35 was contensted on human rights violations.

        letter from hmrc

        hiya there...

great to see the thread continuing~

The other day I got a new letter from HMRC, addressed to me and my address. However, they got the name (dear .....), NI number, reference (i think) all wrong as well as the body of the letter relating a different tax year than the one that relates to me.

Also it was from a different person and different sender address. Anyway, just wanted to mention all that for interest's sake. I think the person it was meant for is already being investigated (quite amusing that his name was the same as our......). I don't want to write too much in case there's some confidentiality breach or it does more harm than good to all of us.

Also mentions the 7.5% interest that could be chargable on the tax not paid.

Now am thinking of getting a CTD, but just wondering if I can do a direct bank transfer (as opposed to CHAPS payment)...

Beware of strangers at the door

Just heard from MP that one client had HMRC Debt Management turn up at his house yesterday, even though CNs had been appealed on 14th Oct, and acknowledge by HMRC on 7th Nov.

I am sorry but mistakes like this are unforgivable.

              Hi

Another long time lurker here, finally sticking my head above the parapet.

I've not had CN yet but got the "newsletter" last week

I do get the impression from the tone of the "newsletter" , previus letters and now they are sending out debt collectors that HMRC are simply tring to intimidate us all.

              Thanks for keeping us innformed.

Another post that will be highlighted as part of the summary post for bn66 volume 4.

I think I have said before I fought a few court battles. my mckenzie friend got a ciourt bill for £18k. He appealed. Next thing the court tipstaffs turn up and took him off to the cells! This was at 8pm - case finally heard 1pm, following day. They had the paperwork by then and he was released.

                  These guys play hardball.

Nope. DR did post this somewhere earlier - but quite a few posts since.

Well done for asking and not just troubling the hard pushed montp staff!
