How would YOU personally feel (this is a question to everyone) if you gave away information that caused us to lose. I know I would be totally gutted!
I doubt we will ever be privy to information that could be useful to the other side. I'm sure MontP are aware that anything they share with 1500 clients could fall into the wrong hands.
If HMRC are reading this forum hoping to learn something interesting then they are wasting their time.Comment

The Top 10 Time Wasting Sites on the Net
Heres the link.. http://freebies.about.com/od/710/tp/timewasting.htm
It did originally say the "Top 10 FreeTime Wasting Sites on the Net", but I'll guess you'll be doing this in our (the taxpayers) time.
I especially like the "subservient chicken" game. It reminds me of us the British Taxpayer.Last edited by SantaClaus; 3 October 2008, 08:48.'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -

With respect, it takes many many to get ones head around the legal technicalities; as such leave it to the experts. A little knowledge can be a dangersous thing.
The facts as it stands are simple:
It is now Law and therefore we are now liable to pay. Therefore you have a decision
Trust the legal experts i.e. MP to tackle the question of legality OR settle (in whatever form that takes). It really is that simple.
I am getting tired of speculation and rhetoric and like others, want useful confirmed information.
..and before you ask I am in scheme and I too am worried like everyone but I am trying to remain optimisic; but lets be honest and face reality; we are hanging on a small few peoples opinion/ interpretation of the law at the end of the day, so we have a chance.

I couldnt agree more. I have kicked off with people here on precisely the same issue. Lawyers become lawyers through professional training not by self righteous speculation.........
respect to you..........Comment

I think there's a bit of naivety (sp?) here about giving info away. MP were more than happy to present their argument for the scheme well before HMRC ever decided to take 4 test cases to court.
HMRC were aware of the legal argument MP were using and eventually took fright over its apparent soundness.
Im pretty sure MP would adopt the same approach to any JR or subsequent action they may take.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!Comment
