        Thank you to Elpinar and Donkey Rhubard for your quick responses. As per your advice I called the bootle team and they confirmed they were 'stood over' and therefore the requirement to pay will begin as soon as they respond in writing. (Thank you for explaining - I would have had no idea what stood over meant!)

        It makes me nervous - they could come back and say "thats not what we meant, why didn't you pay by the due date?" But I'm assured by others on this forum in the same boat.

        For anyone planning on re-mortgaging to pay their APN, I was very surprised to be refused a re-mortgage. I'd forgotten how difficult mortgages are for contractors. I should have saved into a CTD or ISA rather than paying off my mortgage at a faster pace - they dont like giving you your over payments back!

              i think if there is surplus cash the first 15k should be set aside and used to send DR and santa on a nice holiday
