I also received my pre-APN letter this morning covering 2 of the 3 years that I was with MTM. The missing year is 2004.

It says I can expect the APN in 1 - 6 weeks (not 1-8 as others have had). I just love how I always receive their post 10 days after the date of the letter.

Tomorrow's Friday. No doubt I'll receive the APN's tomorrow just to really piss me off, or better still, the Thursday before Good Friday.

I've just had word that HMRC are phoning some members to check they received the APN.

Obviously, it would be terrible if you told them you haven't actually received it and please re-issue another one with today's date on it.

We wouldn't want to jam up the works or anything

Yes, that would indeed be a shame! Maybe they need to start sending things recorded as us plebs do sending to them.

          More Apn's

Not sure if anyone spotted Saleos post in one of the other thread's, but HMRC are starting to send "Retrospective APN's are coming" letters to contractor EBT loan scheme users as well now.

            Yes I saw that.

I thought HMRC might have waited until after the EBT Settlement Opportunity ended in July but obviously not.

I have also made a very small donation.

I think alot more money is going to be needed once the FTTT kicks off - so best I start early.

                  Another donation from me too.

Can hardly wait for more news on

CCW have advised on what we need to do next if HMRC drag their heels or refuse to engage.

Can't say any more at the moment because I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

When is that surprise likely to be revealed?

There will probably be something about it in the next newsletter.

The surprise is more for HMRC though, and I don't think they'll like it much.

                      NTRT Membership

According to HMRC, around 2500 people in total used the scheme.
                      https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/reque...ncoming-534073

Around 500 people have already settled. This includes the 150 Suo Motu back in 2003.
                      https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/reque...ncoming-546772

So that leaves about 2000 people whose cases are still under appeal. NTRT currently has about 450 members.

In other words there are 1500 people out there who haven't joined NTRT

I wonder what's holding them back from joining?
