Montpelier did give us a mention in one of their circulars a couple of years ago, and it did prompt a few more to join.

According to the Montp staff there is definitely a lot of "burying the head in the sand and hoping it goes away" mentality.

Everybody affected needs to join NOW and stop creaming off the free advice.

The more people that join the bigger fighting fund and the increased chance of success.

      Get it done.

I propose that if the membership doesn't dramatically increase this week we move to a closed forum. Some of us have been members from the start and paid regular monthly direct debits.

          Freeloading won't work.

Our advisors CCW will only represent our members.

The Huitson FTT result might wake a few people up.

There are probably many out there who are still deluding themselves that Huitson can win.

It would be very ironic (and funny!) if those who were not members of NTRT had to pay up.

Sorry if I show alot of empathy - but I hate freeloaders. I don't expect everyone to do what DR has done - but stumping up a few quid now might make all the difference.

It is amazing how long it takes some people to join up. I've been hounding a mate of mine for a couple of years now and he finally joined up a few weeks ago and only then when I was standing behind him egging him on. He was somewhat surprised at what I had been donating on a monthly basis, even though I'm sure I'm probably donating less than a lot of other members.

For me the support from NTRT has been an massive stress relief and the help with MP lobbying was invaluable (however fruitless it may have been) as I had no idea how to go about it.

I wonder if MontP would mind making a victim-wide broadcast promoting NTRT so see if we could double our membership. Just think how that would boost the fighting fund!

Maybe what you have said here, DR, will help get others into gear!

                    Scheme Users

On review of the above comments, and having allegedly been ousted as a troll on this site, albeit, I am sat here with 4 years worth of retrospective taxes through MontP!

I would like to point out that there are a large amount of O&G Industry workers in this scheme, working offshore or on rotations, and many of them are not aware of this forum and the NTRT on going battle. Where I know of users, I have pointed them towards it, but it needs to be pushed through MontP.

Maybe we could ask Montp to mention us in their next update. Also what about the option of a point in time where you simply can't join NTRT anymore?
