    Montpelier letter

Just in case people don't know what the above is referring to.

A couple of days ago Montpelier wrote to all clients warning them off going with TAA.

I don't want to go into detail here, other than to say CCW and Anne Redston have reviewed the letter and disagree with all the points Montpelier raised.

CCW will be writing to Montpelier setting out their's and Anne's position on the matter.

What's this about a deadline for taa?

My financial situation is such that ive been unable, as of yet, to join ntrt or taa.
if I fail to take action today am i excluded? I'm finding it difficult enough to scrape the apn money together (I know I know - can't afford not to join!)
Can any light be shed on the deadlines and exactly how to sign up for ntrt and taa?
      Thanks

        Whitehouse

You will have seen in the latest NTRT newsletter that Whitehouse are no longer acting for us.

It was very unprofessional of them to announce it in the way they did, and we will be making our feelings known at a senior level in the company.

However, the fact is that now we've moved 100% into a legal action, it doesn't make sense for us to be represented by political lobbyists. For the past 9 months or so we've only had them on minimal retainer and pretty much the only thing we've had them do is send out the newsletters.

CCW are now are main advisors. In future we will be issuing newsletters ourselves.

I really wonder about you. I really do.

I hope you withdraw from TAA so we don't have you on the private forum.
Whether you like it or not H7 makes valid points. Just where do you take your advice ? NTRT a faceless bunch of guys in the same position as me or Montpellier the scheme promoter who continues to support us ?
Personally I read between the lines and try to rationilise, dont criticise !

              A face to face

              Hi NTRT
I know many of you meet face to face at previous ECHR but unfortunately I did not have that opportunity. I joined NTRT a Long time ago and have joined the additional appeal action. The thing that concerns me is that your essentially throwing Montpellier out the door when WG has yet to loose a case for his clients. Are we jumping on a bandwaggon ? That question will be partially answered for me if I meet you. How about an open forum in a pub in London one evening ? I'm sure others can orgabise similar elsewhere (northern) and no I dont live in London myself it would be a special trip well worthwhile.
All I want is a reasoned view, today I receive an NTRT email last thing on a Friday from an address in an organisation we are no longer supposed to be using. Does that smack of HMRC ?
              See my concerns ?

but the problem is that the guy who sent it to me reckons he's NTRT but has a whitehouse email address. This stuff is about trust across a board.

Montpelier's letter obviously had the intended effect !!!

Unfortunately we can't let anyone on the private forum until they've been verified by CCW.

                    Really?

                    High Court (JR)
                    Court of Appeal
                    Supreme Court
                    ECtHR (Strasbourg)

                    All lost.

Even Montpelier say they expect to lose the Huitson FTT.

I don't know about anyone else but I really don't want years of more JR's, failed defence in the courts and the possibility that something unknown to us might suddenly save the day.

NTRT have obtained an opinion from said QC and a SECOND update on the matter and are going to get a THIRD update on the current MP letter. If anyone needs more reassurance you might be that annoying brat on the advert asking "are we there yet?".

Remember this, whose interests do NTRT serve? That's right - all of US. And why? Because unlike the Tory slogan, WE are all REALLY in this together.

There is no conflict as I see it of the 2 attacks running in parallel. Heck, I'm tired of a single string to this bow. If you work in IT you wouldn't run something this critical on a SPOF would you?

So I'm going to relax and enjoy my weekend knowing NTRT has done something never expected or obtained elsewhere - got a % chance of winning opinion from a QC who serves in the system we're going into bat with and knowing George has already gotten a 100% result. Carpe Diem folks or put everything on red.
I cant fault what you say but your on the inside, have seen all the opinions and all the undertones. I've seen whats on this forum and what the emails say. Perhaps I'm lackinf the same confidence as a result
