I am due to upgrade my phone in August. I have been using an HTC desire, but fancy going back to iPhone as it feels more robust and better built. Whats the deal with iPhone 5 is it due out this year? c'mon Jobs get the finger out, they will sell like hot cakes.

Same as you,. my android seems a little flakey in places, unresponsive software, sometimes doesn't connect to wireless networks.
Based on previous iPhone release cycles, iPhone 5 should be June/July this year.
Judging by the huge iPhone advertising push at the moment, I assume they're clearing out stocks ready for the new one.
My android is good enough, so I'll wait even it takes longer than 1 month or two. -
Other than stuff like 3D, one wonders what can be added to iPhone5 that makes it a compelling upgrade from iPhone 4... presumably faster CPU but it's already PDQ.
In terms of what Apple are trying to produce, the iPhone4 seems pretty much perfect already - will they resort to gimmicks and making the numbers bigger, or find serious new features that were missing?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Why wait for IPhone5 when you can wait a bit more and get your grubby hands on a shiny IPhone6 or even IPhone7 ?Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !Comment

The 6 was worth the jump from 5 IMO. I didn't bother with the 7 as an upgraded speaker and a white mute switch didn't justify the priceOriginally posted by fullyautomatix View PostWhy wait for IPhone5 when you can wait a bit more and get your grubby hands on a shiny IPhone6 or even IPhone7 ?Comment

I'm no fanboi and prefer PCs to Macs but I do like Apple products.
I tend to skip a generation though... went from 3G to iPhone4, own an iPad not interested in iPad2 but will eagerly await iPad3.It's about time I changed this sig...Comment

Greater battery capacity would be a big selling point, IMO.Originally posted by d000hg View PostOther than stuff like 3D, one wonders what can be added to iPhone5 that makes it a compelling upgrade from iPhone 4... presumably faster CPU but it's already PDQ.

As an aside, I was looking at the selling price of the old iPads at auction yesterday, and they were circa £300
Which I thought was a lot considering you don't really know the history of the unit and can't play with it before buying. I'd rather buy a new later guaranteed model for not a great deal more. You can pick up an old style Touch for about £40 at that auction though, which doesn't seem too bad, assuming the thing works and the battery isn't fubar. Big if.
