Is the reception problem / Grip of Death thing fixed now ?
That's why I didn't go for the 4
That's the same reason why I'm still with my 3GS. My understanding is the problem went away when you put your phone in a case. I expect the problem will only be fully resolved with the iPhone5...

Doesnt need to be a full case. The "Bumpers" that go around the edge of the phone solve it as well, all nes ones come with one already in the box.
Still a dodgy bit of engineering, but it should be sorted for the iPhone5.

It was mostly hype anyway, I had a 4 since before the grip of death thing arose and never had an issue myself.
I got an iphone 4 a few weeks back and was amazed at the amount of time I "lost carrier". Completely due to the way I hold the phone, so definately still a problem.
I must buy one of the cases.
Rumour mill is that the next iPod Touch will not have a GPS chip again so I expect I'll stick with my 2nd generation Touch, which I'm still very pleased with. Knowing where I am would be a nice feature though.
