I can see the argument for having removable SD cards in the iPhone but in all the time I've had one I've never come close to filling the memory it has anyway.

I dont keep music on it, I use Spotify, and if I'm going somewhere I know I will want to take pictures I take a camera. Spur of the moment shots on the phone won't come anywhere near 16 or 32gb of space.

Well you're not a typical user then - certainly not a typical iPod user.

I quite like the idea of an iPodClassicPhone - but realistically flash-based devices will have similar capacity in the near future.

Maybe there's an app for that. One that replicates the Classic's interface on the iPhone's touchscreen.

Then there's only the capacity (and maybe battery life?) that the Classic still holds over the younger upstarts.
