    5g sim card router

Looking to ditch internet provider and get an unlimited 5g subscription, Problem seems to be, to find a router that is compatible with 5g sim cards at a reasonable price (£150 or less) for 4g there are plenty cheap ones.
Can anyone here recommend a good one?

5g router for less than £150, come back in 2023, they don't exist yet.

And finding one that works as just a modem is even harder.

I thought even unlimited subscriptions came with a fair use cap? Which I would have thought a router would have hit quickly?

EE do such a device, but it's part of their subscription for £55 a month.
So the hardware exists but may not be available for the consumer market.

I'm just looking at 5G mobile phone as a hotspot, currently have an unlimited 5G sim, so just looking at a Samsung A22 for £210. If you are looking for SIM and router, then Three have them with unlimited data, 5g router and a 43inch TV for £30 a month (24 month contract) or £29 without the TV.

As already mentioned, there's no getting around it these things are currently expensive. Unless things have changed in recent months, this is probably the best option out there right now: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SmartHome-d.../dp/B08L6L777Z

Your best bet would be to hook the router up to a directional external antenna to get the best bandwidth and signal, something like this should do the trick: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poynting-Om...dp/B08F4S4DMN/

Use this great website https://www.cellmapper.net/map to find out your local masts and work out which phone companies companies will offer 5G and the best signal, it'll also help when it comes to positioning your antenna too.

As others have mentioned you will probably want a 5G SIM Only plan with unlimited data, however as others have commented take a look at the small print when it comes to fair usage.

If you're going to use a router, you can't use a normal SIM only plan for a phone as they'll cut you off immediately. You need a specific "Mobile Broadband" SIM only plan which is far more expensive.

If at all possible, hotspot from a phone.

You haven't mentioned why you want to do this, what's the motivation?
Have you looked into Satellite internet?
