Is Delphi used much these days?

Someone here wants to use this little lot & I noticed it uses Delphi.

Seems like an odd choice until you find this:

    leading to

I know the doggie liked Delphi but I've not heard much of it since he got booted off the board.

I suppose my concern would be that we'd be painting the customers into yet another corner.

I enjoyed Delphi when I was learning to code as a kid - but then that was compared to BBC BASIC. I had no idea it was still around at all!

      It appears that it is:

      https://www.embarcadero.com/products/delphi/starter

and apparently that's wot you need to do the arduino stuff.

      Who'd have thunk it.

Can't abide Pascal & all its works, so not for me, thanks.

The Esteemed Customers are on their own with this one.

      Along with this:

      https://www.visuino.com/orders

      $9.99.

Blimey, probably got my first proper go of programming with Delphi back in the 90's, before really cutting my teeth in PHP and forgetting all about OOP until I rediscovered C# many years after.

My first paid PC programming work was using Modula-2, a sort of successor to Pascal. (My first paid programming work was on MVS-2, a mixture of ROSCOE and SAS).

I did Modula-2. Didn't last long, never been anywhere that uses it since anyway.
