We are Judit, Matt and Andrej, a remote team of three freelancers (researcher, designer and coder).

We've spent the last year collaborating on iPhone apps to reduce the pain of independent working. We hope you find them interesting, and would like to hear your comments and feedback, as relevant group of our audience.

What's good about the apps?

I like the look of it, but I'm not an Apple user so can't use it.

Maybe a free trial version or something similar might be an idea - I'll quite happily spend a fortune on gadgets that get used once or twice and then get left in the corner, but I'll balk at paying 99p for an app. I suspect that I'm not alone in that for some reason, so the ability to see whether it works for me is something I would want to have a look at.

The challenge will be to see how you can see of the likes of Expensify which has a lot of additional features and integrations into accounting products.

What we think differentiates Money In and Money Out from other apps like Expensify or accountancy software is that our apps have no costly ongoing subscriptions or in-app purchases. Just a small up front price (£3.99 each), or in a bundle for £5.99. The apps are simple & focused, and get the bookkeeping job done in a fast, simple and cheap way.

It may well be but unless an accountant for contractors accepts and uses the output I doubt the promised savings will appear.

One reason why accountants like free agent is the amount of work they used to do which is automated in their version of the software

Its also less than 50% of the paid app market so its understandable why companies focus on iOS first
