I scrapped my colour laser (in 2008), it cost a bloody fortune to buy toner, like £90 for each CMY and £50 for K

So what's a limited co stationery budget for? Duh!

Oh did you mean you're own LtdCo? You do realise that you are still spending "your own" money in one form or another!

Don't be a knob: who mentioned anything about printing 'that amount of stuff'. It's a printer; live with the fact that people do have them and replace toner as and when required out of co expenses.

Of course, but in my case I didn't need a colour laser that badly. My 10 year-old inkjet is still going strong and is ok for the occasional colour thingy

A laser printer suggests a higher volume of printing. What part of your business requires you have a laser printer... just because you plug it into your PC doesn't make it a business cost.

My business needs a laser printer because inkjet prints of pages of text (CV's, proposals, contracts etc) look tulip. To me, laser printing is the absolute standard now and I like them because the toner will sit there for ages and be absolutely fine when I have to print something.

I didn't even own a printer prior to going contracting.
