Today I'm in Client Co's offices. There's a lady who's got a fan heater on despite the aircon being set to heat.

As for all the "Warmest ever months", not around my way they haven't been. Oh, and the rain! I've never had such a crop of slugs and snails.

They are currently identifying as Locusts. little sods.

Slug trap and Sainsburys £1 for 4 beer. Better suggestions (non poison at least my snails go to Snaihalla happy!)

What are you moaning about? It's the warmest May, June and July on record. The BBC were warning that temperatures could reach 21c and they ran out of red crayons to colour the weather forecast maps.

Ah. Must have confused them with cats. Easily done.

Ours positively enjoys getting wet in the rain and will go and sit in the middle of the lawn during a downpour.

He then comes in and ambushes us by chirping for attention, which results in an absent minded hand being lowered to cat height to provide fuss, followed by cries of anguish as it meets sodden fur.

He also enjoys being toweled off vigorously before going back out in it again...

Started new gig, working away from home so already bit fed up with that.

First week, I find out that contractors can't use the company car park so have to endure a trip in on the shuttle bus or a 25 min walk from some dodgy town centre car park.

Second week, I find out that the 'flexible hours' referred to in the interview mean core hours of 10-12 and 2-4, so no early departure is permitted on a Friday. This makes me even more fed up.

No WFH either? Ho hum, suck it up. I treat early darts and WFH as a bonus when I'm working away.

Third week, a gaggle of Bobs move in the office and I'm railed by a chorus of coughs, snorts and sniffles as they adjust to our climate and/or the air conditioning. As someone who struggles with misophonia, this has set my teeth well and truly on edge.

Every instinct is telling me to walk but I'm trying to keep my professional head on and just endure until the end date.

Lovely. It's the snotty snorts that I really hate. I hand them a pack of tissues (which they seem to think should be used for blocking the toilets).
