Binned mine off years ago and have been in two inside roles for the last couple of years so didn't see the point. Never used the freebie stuff etc etc and was largely with them to support their IR35 fight.

No. I switched over to comprehensive IR35 insurance. I was happy putting some money in the IPSE pot to fight against the IR35 changes but I see little point paying my subscription with them now.

Still in, but yeah it does seem a bit of a waste of money. They organize free webinars and I have booked into a few of those to try and get some use from my sub. Some of them were interesting, some less so.

Mostly in still for the Jury service cover - I seem to get Jury service letters at an alarming rate currently. Then you phone the hotline night before and they don't want you. Bloody waste of time and stress, but its made me keep my cover with IPSE.

Maybe a better strategy might be to get a t-shirt printed saying "Bring Back the Death Sentence" and then wear it to any Jury selection I do ever get called up to...

Left them several years ago, total waste of money. These vouchers and reduction you can get on many other places for free

This is the first year I've not been able to offset the membership cost with voucher savings (most of which can be had from publicly available sites in 2025) - am seriously considering letting it go.

May just about be worth it for a year of legal cover.

Hard to disagree with LM's post, but they helped me last spring with the jury service cover. (even though I did get the shortest trial in history)

I am still an IPSE member but I agree that they are increasingly less relevant for the traditional contractor.

I would suggest looking at the whole package, deciding what's important to you, and then seeing if you can replicate that with other providers for a comparable price.

They changed providers for the discount shopping side of things which made it less useful or profitable. Some used to make their membership fee back in savings from that. It used to be that membership was about fighting for a common cause but it is increasingly more about selling insurance products.

Might I suggest you look at obtaining your own IR35 insurance - I've used Kingsbridge Insurance for my current projects.

About this issue you've got with Gladiators and Radiators...

started a topic IPSE - Is anyone still a member

IPSE - Is anyone still a member

I'm currently engaged with a small consultancy on an outside IR35 role (self determined). I've always worked on outside roles but for years the determination has been made by the client. I chucked the IPSE membership when the determination and much of the liablity went onto the client but its now back on me I'm looking to get IPSE mainly for the tax investigation cover. Is anyone else still using it? They seem to have moved away from being contractor focused so wondering if their is something better suited to my needs now.

Open to any suggestions before I start up a new membership. Ta all...
