Sounds more like Michael Green/Corinne Stockheath/Sebastian Fox.

I'm sure he's just a bit busy so when he does I'll be rolling in it.

Admin has no issues at all with the quality of anything produced by NLUK.....
...... He pays NLUK exactly what it is worth.........

I have heard of a lot of permies at my age (late 40's) or similar or older doing things these days such as retraining as teachers or civil servants usually because they have no choice to get out before being kicked out or have been kicked out especially from big4 or smaller big4 competitors.
Retraining could be low capital risk.
What do you do with your time now?

I had planned to semi-retire at that age but decided to keep myself busy with a lazy permie job. I can't yet swan off around the world due to family commitments so I need to stick around and didn't really have any plans to 'do nothing' after life as a contractor. Income isn't the issue because I have investments, so really I'm just in the (quite well paid) permie job for something to do and to beef up the pension.

As for Plan Bs, I always wanted to do something bigger but eventually decided it wasn't in me to work so hard in my 40s and onwards. So it made sense to live off investments rather than work on another business.
