I had planned to semi-retire at that age but decided to keep myself busy with a lazy permie job. I can't yet swan off around the world due to family commitments so I need to stick around and didn't really have any plans to 'do nothing' after life as a...

Personally I'd look up the company and even the specific job role on Glassdoor. If nothing, it makes for interesting reading and gives an insight into the employer.
