Their rationale is that if Hamas choose to fight behind a wall of innocent civilians, then the collateral damage is justified if it allows Hamas to be destroyed. It's brutal and harsh and possibly illegal, but it is understandable.

The other point to consider is that Israel has always said where they are going to attack - so why are the civilians still there, do you suppose? OK, so that works in the first week or two of the attacks, but is becoming increasingly untenable as Gaza runs out of places to get out of the way. Of course, Egypt and Israel could let the Gazan civilians out of the enclave, all you have to do is stop Hamas coming with them. Good luck with that.

I noticed the spelling of neighbor twice in the article which got me a bit suspicious. Written by a New York based report working for the Daily Mail so appears all above board. I would have thought they would proof read or spell check before putting in a UK paper? Or maybe they don't. Interesting.
