Rooting through LM's drawers? Definitely not.

But no. I had 6 spares back to a Samsung Galaxy 3 a few months ago. Found a guy that refurbs and passes on to kids that wouldn't normally have one so given all but one to him.

Nope, I used to always keep one old phone, currently I've an iPhone 4S and SE (original) in a drawer. Neither will take updates any more, but both work.
Oh, and a Nokia N95, which I've lost the original back and battery for it, as I'd replaced that with a higher powered battery that was 2x the size. Still works.

I nearly reported a bug because I thought somehow a thread in Technical had become merged with a thread in General.

Microsoft do a 2fa authenticator app for Android and IOS. Not as convenient as the phone.

But for a suggestion perhaps yes, they could have in a web version of google authenticator with a back up method of operation where it is required to go into your security settings and configure some security questions and answeres that it would make it secure to generate a code from in the web view.

With this MFA that doesn't seem to be an option and I don't find this acceptable.
