I wonder if the standing charges are going up to catch those who fixed a rate last year? I haven't had such a notification but ought to double check when I get home.

Rising energy prices are going to eat into the profits of the many cannabis farmers of South Essex.
I can see the leases on may Range Rover Sports not being renewed.

With our supplier (EDF), most of the electricity price increase is in the standing charge (100% hike). It that the same with other suppliers?

They've stuck a banner on the site saying you have until April 9th to give them readings for March 31st, so I'm not going to bother trying repeatedly
EDIT: Ah, I see xog has found the same thing

Website says:
Sorry, we're experiencing higher than usual levels of website traffic.
If you're having trouble logging in to your account, don't worry, you have until 9 April to give us your meter readings online for 31 March.

Good news - you can submit your readings tomorrow if you couldn't submit them today.
To be fair my supplier normally allows you to enter readings taken 3 days in the past.

Yes, although it won't make much difference if a reading is sent a few days before or after 1st April.

No, it's more about making sure they don't underestimate then end up charging you more for units you've already used. But if you add a few units it could well save you money. Disclaimer - no idea if that constitutes fraud
However if you know how much you use in a 24 hour period - and there are people who do know their weekly usage at different times of the year - then you will get away with it.

We have a SM and it only seems to submit a reading sporadically.
