Wait... you come on CUK in your spare time? Now that's weird.

Flippin' 'eck. You've been working on that for years. It must be practically self-aware by now!

Yup, still working. Only bank holidays and weekends off for me. Fortunately I'm awesome so managed to get my Christmas deliveries done by today and will be able to bill full day rate for attending a couple of meetings and monitoring systems over the rest of the other days.

Currently sitting in Dulles airport waiting for the overnight into Heathrow and the onto Frankfurt and should arrive about 18.00 on 24/12. Just finished 2 weeks in Washington and 1 in Orlando on large projects. Back in Feb and March and most of April in Sofia and Vienna.

I used to do that sort of thing but I have little people now. They need Daddy more than Client-Co needs a developer.

I worked yesterday but am technically on furlough (because we all know stopping a project to "save money" for a couple of weeks is the way to guarantee it delivers on time). I might do half a day next week to monitor a couple of things.

I have a week off in January so I'll just charge while I'm sunning myself.

I love working over Christmas as I can get lots done without interruption. Last year I worked Christmas Day! I wouldn't have worked CD or BD this year as they're on the weekend but would have worked the bank holidays.

I try to take the school hols off. The most I've ever done was working until 4am on Xmas Eve because I was offered £1500 (or similar) to get a piece of work done that day, but it had to be that day.
