They intially planned OJ Simpson for that role and Arnie was going to be cast as Kyle Reese.

Re/mis-cast classic TV/film roles?
Waiting on a build I was idly thinking about casting choices (Robert Redford as Bill Bryson specifically, and the Dr. Who thread) and the fun one might have re-casting well known roles either for comic effect or that might actually have been really good.
There's loads of well-known ones of varying authenticity (Will Smith as Neo in The Matrix) so feel free to share those or make your own suggestion.
Maybe there are some roles so bound to the actor you cannot even conceive of anyone else doing it, maybe you've always thought "X would have been so much better for this".
