MPs do not have an official dress code, although the House of Commons says they should wear clothes that "might ordinarily be worn for a fairly formal business transaction".

"The Speaker has, on a number of occasions, taken exception to informal clothing, including the non-wearing of jackets and ties by men," Parliament's website states.

In my opinion her dress doesn't meet that unwritten dress code. Your opinion might differ.

Either the speaker didn't get a chance to stop her before she walked in or she got a 'pu*sy' pass because the male speaker didn't want to be seen as sexist at the time.

A male MP on a recent zoom call to the commons got slapped down by a female speaker for wearing a jumper at home instead of a jacket:

He's thick as mince so you will never get an answer let alone an appropriate one.

Small potatoes really insofar as negative effect of lieing goes, she could have just been stupid and picked wrong figure. Not saying she is not a liar, all MPs are but there are far more substantial lies that matter to small people like us.

Yes. Proven. Just like Mohamed Al-Fayed. You can call him a liar too, since it's proven, without fear of committing slander or libel.

Thats why it is banned. Each side would be calling the other side Liars every other sentence
