I bumped into him once - literally
and I met him a few times as well.

I was just exiting a basement pub/bar in Birmingham in the early 80's and I found my way blocked by a fudging mountain... the mountain, after stopping me bouncing off him and bouncing back down the stairs, in a surprisingly gentle voice said "Sorry Mate I wasn't looking....".

I looked up into a large chest, and then looked up some more (he was 6'5" and standing on a stair above me), and there was this big grin shining through a thick beard - I recognised him from things like Superstars and the Olympics etc obs.

Many, many years later I met him at various Strongman competitions/events - as a Celeb Ribbon cutter, judge/umpire/host/raconteur

    31. Very Young. Shame.

Also means that chance of a £100 million reunion like Oasis is now out of the window.
    'e was an angle[sic]!

On a more serious note, it appears he was the master of his own demise. Sad for anyone that age but for the rest of us life goes on.

One of my friends taught him to drive. Said he was a nice guy.

    What a waste.

Loving the units in this one...
tonnes, density in kg/l, area in km2, result in inches.
