Jesus wept, do you intend starting a new thread every Christmas?

Don't take this the wrong way but it sounds about right.

The week of Dec 18th people will be winding down, the week of Jan 1st schools are still off and half the people won't be around.

The lack of notice isn't great however although that could be project related....

It's back again only this time longer (Friday 15th December 2017 to Monday 8th January 2018) and with 6 weeks less advance notice. These guys must be really broke!

Sod it, I'll start a new thread - too much baggage in this one.

The title of the website is "ContractorUK" not "ContractorEurope".

It's a UK cultural thing - you can interpret what he's said in two ways.

KPMG it's a multinational corp (or any multinational IT Consultant) and they are not going to use the enforced leave if the client don't use it. In some countries it's not usual. This is common sense and why this is so hard for you and NLUK to understand it?

The world doesn't resolve around UK, if you don't give a tulip about the other countries it's another story.

Maybe its because the OP who started the thread is based in the UK?

As I said your generalisations are just not a useful addition to this thread.
    Nothing xenophobic about it.

Its funny, I'm one of the widest travelled out there and you accuse me of being a small minded bigot, its really quite laughable.

From what I can tell you have had none.

Therefore you are making sweeping generalisations on something which you don't know anything about.

    Its quite simple really.
