Inclined to agree. Have been there once as a cruise stopped there. I almost didn't bother going ashore and wasn't massively impressed when I did.

Who the hell would want to spend that long in Gibraltar?Originally posted by woody1 View PostAs an aside, you can't even avoid EES going to Gibraltar because they're now part of Schengen.
Moreover, even though it's a British territory, we can only stay there for the 90/180 days.

Arrived at TFS on Wednesday last week, around 2 PM. ESS was off and the old passport scanners were on. Landing, pisspot control and baggage in total took about 30 mins, and that included an extra trip to a different baggage area for an outsize item.

My family and cohort of mates are just back from France, absolutely no issues with EES delays.
Clearing immigration and customs took a minute or two.
This was a mixture of London City airport and the channel tunnel.
We weren't part of the percentage that are subjected to the biometrics however. Not looking forward to that.

"A new digital border management system – the Entry/Exit System – is now in force to make travelling to Europe easier and more efficient. It will enhance the security of the EU’s borders, which will also benefit our partners, including the UK."

You might be ok now the outbound Xmas/New Year rush is over. From what I hear it's only a TSS if lots of full planes arrive around the same time.Originally posted by TestMangler View PostGoing to Tenerife for three months, from next Weds. Can't wait to spend 3 hours in a queue after a flight. Nice. Thanks Brext c**ts !

You can easily get flights and accommodation in Costa Adeje for three months on a giro these days, dontcha know. If only the butler still signed on, he could come too.

"According to the Portugal Post, 80 extra police officers were drafted in at Lisbon for a 15-day shift which has brought down the average wait to 60 minutes instead of the 3 to 6 hour wait passengers were suffering before, and now the airport has temporarily suspended the EES machine checks until after the Christmas period."
With my knackered knees, I don't think I'll be travelling to any Schengen country any time soon!
