Well that was nice
Just had a heating engineer round under our service contract to deal with a leak. Turned out to be a plumbing issue, not in his remit. But he fixed it anyway. There are some nice people around.

Where I live, motorways are allowed for learners and may feature in the test. Alcohol levels for new drivers are essentially 0. If you screw up during the probationary period, you'll have to redo your test.
The worst drivers are those who've learned elsewhere and just switch their licence...

It was a pleasant surprise when that team turned up. And even better when they won! Sorry if you're watching it on catchup....

Probably they've given up, but I'm not chasing up - the longer they leave it, the weaker their case and the dumber...

I've regularly driven for contracts. Decent hotel - it's worth the expense. Certainly *not* working is more expensive.

I did roast lamb today. Roast at 130°C until reached 59°C. Then 20 minutes at 200.

Slipped on our stone stairs yesterday and now have a massive bruise on the left side of my back. Thankfully, ribs not cracked. Worse, I've had to give up booze due to liver options.
