I’d say no, “sorry i’m external so can’t be involved in employee recruitment processes etc.”

Pleased the OP has had a positive outcome. The common theme for this and the MSC issue seems to be that ignoring the letters and not complying reaps considerable benefits further down the line.

Sounds like a pain in the neck, who will likely be a pain in the neck in a multitude of other ways (holidays, personal appointments etc) if they are like this from the get go. It's not a positive from IR35 as you are not in control of your own working hours, but i'd see it as more of a personal aggravation...

Same with Inside roles..... "He's on £1,000 a day!" when half of it goes to Hector....

Same thing happened to me with an agency which rhymes with Agecko. Tax code clearly wrong, HMRC saying the employer sorts it, the employer saying HMRC sorts it, me not sure how much to squirrel away for when the inevitable day of reckoning came.
Luckily this was straight out of uni in 2004...

What’s your day rate if you don’t mind me asking? If you’re on £200 a day i’d say drive, if it’s £700 i’d say hotel it.
