    Just had confirmation from my client the current contract will be renewed till middle of next year at least. Rate not super high but good enough, outside IR35, fully remote gig with a good team and a good project so happy days

    Funnily enough my son has just picked up his first contract role. Hes still at Uni but has ben offered a part time gig with a small startup.     Generally every year for the past god knows how many years my tax bill rises by a couple hundred quid. Its mental to think back to pre divi tax, VAT changes etc and how much more tax a typical contractor has to pay. Doesn't help if your also a BTL landlord as thats been the same!...
