A wage is a wage. If you need to take it then you need to take it. Just keep looking and for now I'd just leave this one off the CV. If it lasts a long time then you will just need to come clean and expain the reason you took the role was the market was difficult....

Not hearing back on a job add is what I now come to expect. Whats killing me is when an agent actually tells you your good for a role they have then ghost you. Its like chinese torture at the moment. Don't believe anything any of them are saying and not convinced may roles are even real....

I moved to a more expensive house last year and at the time I was coming to the end of a long stint in work and was a bit concerned about not having an income afterwards. I was speaking to an agent today who basically said they don't advertise roles unless they can't find someone they already have on their books. He said posting job adds is more hassle than its worth as you just get flooded with a load of unsuitable CVs. Seems to back up what I'm seeeing which is nothing...

Snap! Been on ther bench since end of 2023 with very little in the way of promising leads since. First time in 16 years I've had more than 2 weeks on the bench and at the moment its looking like I might be waiting a good while yet for the next role....
