The question you are asking now has the answer it won’t be possible.

HMRC now requires join liability between the umbrella and the agency so both will be insisting on UK tax being paid .

if you want to “work” in the UK while living in Spain you will need a limited company...

the conclusion of that argument is that you were 100% inside IR35 but you are talking about a time when you were responsible for the assessment and payment of tax.
