swine flu
It transpires that the government of Israel has announced that they will only refer to it as "Mexican flu" as swine are considered unclean, and to suggest that a Jew has had contact with swine would be offensive - thereby ignoring the fact that every case so far identified anywhere in the world seems to have been due to human-to-human transmission
Still, it gives the World Health Organisation yet another trivial administrative detail to worry about - it'll help take their minds off dealing with a possible pandemic if they have to rewrite every communiqué to avoid offending some Rabbi in Haifa

I'm glad you finally have a diagnosis: it should make things much easier in terms of getting him the support he needs at school, and the support you need as a family.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostHe is autistic : at the asbergers end. We will get a formal written diagnosis soon.
Although there is still some degree of prejudice amongst the more unenlightened members of Society, I think Asperger's is truly one of those conditions where the term "differently abled" applies: people with Asperger's often have tremendous intellectual talents, although they may find it harder to develop social skills.
Hopefully your family will now be helped to help him make the most of his potential whilst assisting him in coming to terms with the trickier social stuff.
