They really haven't got a ******* chance. At all.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostWhat idiots they were getting rid of you.......
Testing starts on Monday (UAT!!!), no window at the end to fix any issues, and not much window beforehand to fix them.
Oh - and because I was sick, they didn't bother to put my part of the solution through system testing. Or much unit testing. Thank goodness I'm only responsible for the functional side of things (with some technical input), rather than any responsibility for getting it working.Comment

It's where you can send a packet of ASCII stuff down yer simplex wireless phone line to someone else's pocket teletype machine.Originally posted by zeitghost View PostHow does this "texting" of which you speak work?
I think that's about right. A 'mobile phone' is a sort of portable teletype. But without the keyboard. Or permanent record of output. But you can still use the handset to talk to someone. But you can't run any decent programs on it (like ADVENT). And you can't open one remotely as a print or data capture device. And the data transfer speed hasn't changed much.
I think.Drivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. We're just community blogging, that's all.
