It is officially so cold out there that it's colder than one would wish
Very lazy wind earlier too, but that seems to have died down now.
It's still nastily cold though.
I wish they'd find somebody for the downstairs flat. With somebody down there, the heat rises and helps keep my flat warm.
Now that the former occupant is getting his heating courtesy of Her Majesty, I'm keeping the chap upstairs' flat warm by the same mechanism without any assistance. And given that he's also an IT contractor and is hardly ever here, it's a waste of heat.
Ah well
At least I took the rubbish out. It was starting to get a bit smelly, but now it's in the bin outside it'll be frozen freshComment

I trust all is well despite the fact that you are heating the whole of the town singlehanded...The squint, the cocked eye and clenched first are the cornerstones of all Merseyside communication from birth to graveComment

Hmm...
That sounded like a door downstairs. Given that I'm the only person in the house, this could be a bad thing
Better go and check. Maybe it was next door - although one never hears stuff from thereComment

After a quick recce downstairs, it appears to be OK. However, I've now heard evidence of movement upstairs.
This reminds me of two facts:
- Sometimes my upstairs neighbour allows friends to use his flat when he's away;
- They never collect his mail from the hall, so it looks like he's not here, even though somebody else is.
So taking one thing with another, I don't think there's anything to worry about

Things seem to be OK thanks, given the aboveComment

I should add that I inspected his door, which is immediately opposite mine, and there's no sign of it having been tampered with. Furthermore, I would have heard somebody letting themselves in, so whoever it is was obviously already there. They probably got up for a piss, and slammed the bathroom door or something.
