The meal was fine - we're all used to my sister's egocentric carping so it doesn't really bother us anymore

I consider myself to be an expert on banoffee pie - what was wrong with it?

At a rough guess, I'd say precisely nothing. The crux of the argument seemed to be that the previous management, or possibly some other establishment entirely, made it slightly differently, or something like that. I didn't really bother listening, to be honest (see above).

Lady VF is a bit worried about this particular chicken ("Betty") - the one that laid the egg the other day. Being the smallest of the three she's at the bottom of the pecking order, so hopefully she's still settling down.

It's hard to go wrong with a banoffee pie really - biscuit, caramel, bananas and cream. It just works.

Lady VF has been asking around on some of her forums, and I think she's going to the call the chicken people (no, not KFC) tomorrow and see what they suggest.

We let them roam around the garden for the first time today, and she seemed OK then so maybe she's just adjusting to the Eglu or something.
