Not that it is very good, weatherwise, here.
    Evening BI

I'm just catching up, but I won't be here for long - driving to London tomorrow, and my supper to eat before I crash out

The weather is getting skittish here - I was walking down the road when a headwind blew in so strong that it stopped me in mid-stride

A couple of seconds later, it suddenly fell back to a dead calm

Arthur Ransome writes of similar phenomena in Peter Duck, when the Swallows and Amazons are on Crab Island as a hurricane approaches

Still, as the fence that blew over onto the Super Monkey Car last weekend is still being supported by a neighbour's car, I'm hoping for the best

KENT commuters faced diruption this morning after a body was found on a railway line.

Trains in and out of Dartford have been delayed after the discovery at Lewisham.

Southeastern passengers trying to get to London Victoria from Dartford had their service suspended after the body was found at the Lewisham junction at around 6.45am.

A Southeastern spokesman said: "This will have unfortunately caused delay and disruption to many journeys during the morning peak. For this we can only apologise."

Alternative transport to other London train stations is being advised and passengers can use their tickets on the Docklands Light Railway, London Underground and the buses. Train services have been diverted around other stations where possible.
      Immortalised as a palinilap, anyway.

Leave yourself a bit more time for the journey. And my spidey senses tell me the A414 junction on the M1 (Hemel Hempstead) is a good place to avoid.

Or anywhere else that right-minded people gather ... unless they have access to a linear accelerator or super massive capacitors or a nice big Tesla coil.

It always is, but unfortunately it's where I need to be

I've got NewClientCorp about as well trained as ClientCorp when it comes to the time I arrive on Monday.

One week (at ClientCorp, this was), after some particularly heavy delays on the M1, I was coming out of Leicester Square Tube station at about 6pm and met the Project Manager on his way home

He grinned and said "Have a good day"
