No - it was still alive. I accidentally microwaved it on full power for about 4 seconds, just long enough for it to do a quarter rotation on the turntable. It was trembling, with wide eyes and a sort of stunned look, when I took it out. The then gf (and owner of said hamster) went ballistic.
