Experiment: a £40, 14 litre mini-fridge from Argos: what is its cooling power?
Switched on at 18:25 in a room with a temperature of 18°C. 5 normal 75cl wine bottles put in there which were also at the same room temperature of 18°C. Total liquid: 3.75 litres. Also a kilo or so of glass bottles.
At 18:25, 18°C
At 19:25, 15°C
At 20:25, 11°C
At 21:25, 10°C
At 22:25, 9°C
At 23:25, 7°C

Like most of these things, I seem to recall that it was exponential... tending to about 5 deg C as a minimum for the LIDL beach cooler thing I was experimenting with.Comment
