Chimpanzee communities in different (and disconnected) ranges exhibit wide cultural variations. Tool use of a chimp community in one range may be of a similar kind to other chimps inhabiting that range, yet a distant range may have chimps exhibiting totally different tool use.Originally posted by BrilloPad View Postyes - I have often seen the keepers at Howletts hide mint sauce under the straw of the monkey cages. Or are you an orangatang?
The vast majority of chimps in the wild hate getting wet, but there is just one chimp community, far away from all the others, where they love to bathe in the river.
So, as with people, you can't generalise about chimps
