My choice... I don't want them running away with themselves which they do have a tendancy to do...Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostI don't really see 6 months as a short time - when I started going out with (now) MrsF I only thought the relationship would last 3 months before she had me worked out and would move on.
So - is he reluctant to spend time / visit / meet your family, or is it you? Are you keeping him away from your family (or you family away from him), or does he seem reluctant to meet them?Bazza gets caught

And how do you think he would react if you told him that you wanted him to go to Ireland with you this weekend to meet the family?Originally posted by cailin maith View PostMy choice... I don't want them running away with themselves which they do have a tendancy to do...Comment

I think that cos I was with husband for 11 years and clearly didn't know him at the end of that time - I can't help but think that 6 months is nothing in comparisson.....

Honestly I don't know - if you'd asked me that yesterday, I'd have said he'd say - "no problem" but today.... after last night, I'm not sure...Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostAnd how do you think he would react if you told him that you wanted him to go to Ireland with you this weekend to meet the family?Bazza gets caught

Could part of the problem be that maybe he's thinking that you don't want your family to meet him for some reason?
Maybe he thinks that you think that your family would think that he's not good enough / not right for you?

Well, sister doesn't get on with him, but... I don't think it's bothered him so far.. got family coming over this weekend and have suggested meeting up for a drink so even though it's not mam or dad - it's still family!!Bazza gets caught
